Chuck Johnson is a renowned action film actor based in Tokyo, Japan, originally hailing from Michigan. His journey into martial arts began at the age of 15 when he trained in Olympic Taekwondo. His dedication paid off; he achieved his black belt in just two and a half years and quickly asserted his dominance by winning the Michigan State Junior Olympic Taekwondo championship in both sparring and forms. He further distinguished himself as a US non-Olympic national champion and clinched the title of Inter-collegiate champion in Hong Kong in 2001, a remarkable feat he accomplished while initially attending the event as a spectator.

After relocating to Tokyo, Chuck initially worked as a bodyguard for various international celebrities, including Sylvester Stallone and Jackie Chan. His acting career took off in 2004 when he was discovered by a talent agency and cast in "Godzilla: Final Wars." It was during this time that he connected with esteemed action director Yuji Shimomura and began training in East Asian fight choreography. His pursuit of acting excellence continued with studies in Method Acting and the Meisner technique under notable coach Shelley Mitchell.

In addition to his black belt in Olympic Taekwondo, Chuck holds ranks in Capoeira, Karate, Kobudo, and Judo, and has trained in numerous martial arts disciplines including Wing Chun Kung Fu and Krav Maga.
