Jam Murphy
Jam Murphy, originally named Jamie Alexandra Murphy, is a multifaceted American talent recognized as a model, actress, writer, and producer. She has gained acclaim for her roles in upcoming films such as *Through The Modern Looking Glass* (2024) and *Target* (2023), with additional projects on the horizon, including *Red Camellia* and *Fugitive From Asteron*. In 2024, she received the prestigious Best Actress award for her portrayal of Heidi in *Through The Modern Looking Glass* at both the Florence Film Festival and the Chicago Film Festival, as well as for her performance in *Beautiful Catastrophe* at the Citrus Circuit Film Festival.
Hailing from Ashtabula, Ohio, Jam has a rich background in dance and athletics and now makes her home in New York City. She is passionate about both comedic and dramatic narratives, having honed her craft at The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute and under the guidance of esteemed acting coach Anthony Abeson. Jam is also active at The Actor's Gym, founded by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco, and contributes to play readings at The Actor's Studio.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Jam is a songwriter and the founder of Jingle Jam, a fundraising event launched in December 2019 that supports The Bowery Mission in NYC, which aids homeless individuals and survivors of domestic violence. Her early career included on-air hosting for Clear Channel Radio in Ohio, and she later relocated to Los Angeles, where she became a sought-after model with Wilhelmina Models, representing major brands like The GAP, Champion, PUMA, and Reebok. Jam has also appeared on the cover of *Women's Health Magazine* and has been featured in *SHAPE*, *Cosmopolitan*, *SELF*, and *Fitness Magazine*. After eight years in modeling, she shifted her focus to acting to fully express her artistic vision. Currently, she is working on her debut feature film screenplay.
