James Milton Campbell Jr., born on September 7, 1934, and better known as Little Milton, was a prominent figure in the American blues scene. He gained widespread acclaim for his chart-topping R&B hit "We're Gonna Make It," alongside memorable tracks such as "Baby, I Love You," "Who's Cheating Who?" and "Grits Ain't Groceries (All Around The World)."

Originating from the rich musical landscape of the Mississippi Delta, Little Milton embarked on his musical journey with his first recordings in 1953 at Sun Records. His career took a pivotal turn in 1958 when he moved to St. Louis and played a key role in founding Bobbin Records. However, it was his later partnership with Checker Records that truly catapulted him into the limelight.

Throughout his illustrious career, Little Milton showcased his talent on various labels, including Meteor, Stax, Glades, Golden Ear, MCA, and Malaco, leaving a lasting impact on the genre. His contributions to blues music were recognized in 1988 when he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, solidifying his legacy as an influential artist.
