Ekaterina Ivanchikova
Ekaterina Ivanchikova is a talented Belarusian singer, songwriter, and vocalist best known for her role in the popular group IOWA. Her musical journey began at the tender age of six when she joined a local pop music circle and later honed her skills at the Mogilev House of Culture. During her high school years, she discovered her passion for songwriting and aspired to form her own band, experimenting with heavy music and even exploring growling vocal techniques.
She pursued her education at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank, where she earned a degree in philology and journalism. In addition to her academic pursuits, she showcased her talent on the STV project "Star Stagecoach" and participated in Ilya Oleinikov's musical "The Prophet" in 2008.
In 2009, alongside Leonid Tereshchenko and Vasily Bulanov, she co-founded the IOWA group in Mogilyov. The following year, the band relocated to St. Petersburg, where they continued to gain popularity, and Ekaterina also ventured into voice acting for animated films.
A significant highlight of her career came in 2017 when she collaborated with Serj Tankian, the lead vocalist of the renowned American rock band System of a Down, in the music video for "A Fine Morning To Die," which served as the soundtrack for the film "The Legend of Kolovrat." Ekaterina's diverse talents and contributions to the music scene continue to resonate with audiences today.
