Domee Shi

Domee Shi, born on September 8, 1989, in Canada, is an accomplished animator, film director, and screenwriter renowned for her groundbreaking work at Pixar Animation Studios. She made history by becoming the first woman to direct a Pixar short film with her acclaimed work, *Bao* (2018), and later became the first woman to hold the sole director's credit on a Pixar feature film with *Turning Red* (2022). She is also set to direct the upcoming film *Elio* (2025).

Shi's journey at Pixar began in 2011, where she initially contributed as a storyboard artist. Her talent shone through her involvement in major films, such as *Inside Out* (2015), *The Good Dinosaur* (2015), and *Toy Story 4* (2019).
