Fatima Herandi Raouya

Fatima Herandi Raouya, a celebrated Moroccan actress, was born in Azemmour in 1951. She relocated to Casablanca to complete her education at Chawki High School, where she became involved with the Mansour Theatre Company. Her talent shone through when she received the Best Actress award for her performance in the play "Failers" at the national theatre festival known as "Perdant."

Raouya made her cinematic debut in 1978 under the direction of Mohamed El Abazi in the film "Atlas Treasures." She gained further recognition in 2004 with her role in "Yeux Secs," directed by Narjiss Nejjar, which marked a significant turning point in her career within Moroccan cinema. Her outstanding performance in "Saga, The Story of Men Who Never Come Back" earned her the title of Best Starlet at the Territorial Festival of Spectacle, solidifying her status in the industry.

In addition to her acting prowess, Raouya was appointed as a jury member for the 16th edition of the International Film Festival of Marrakech, showcasing her influence and expertise in the cinematic landscape.
