Egbert-Jan Weeber, born and raised in Haren, developed a passion for the performing arts at a young age, participating in theater classes at the local Center for Arts and Culture. His journey into acting took a pivotal turn at 14 when he attended a performance by the Vooropleiding Theater at the Stadschouwburg van Groningen, which inspired him to join the company immediately.

Weeber made his television debut in 2000 with the BNN series "Finals." His breakout role came a year later, earning him a nomination for a prestigious Golden Calf award. In 2002, he starred alongside Katja Schuurman in "Oesters van Nam Kee," and in 2003, his performance in "Van God Los" garnered another Golden Calf nomination.

His filmography expanded with significant roles in the historical drama "Michiel de Ruyter" (2015), where he portrayed Prince William III of Orange alongside notable actors such as Frank Lammers and Charles Dance. In 2016, he featured in "If the Sun Explodes," which won the MovieZone NFF Award.

In addition to his acting career, Weeber has also made a name for himself as a DJ, performing at major festivals like Mysteryland and the Amsterdam Dance Event since he was sixteen. He also hosted the "Spam" radio program on 3FM in 2005, showcasing his diverse talents in the entertainment industry.
