Dominique Swain
Dominique Ariane Swain, born on August 12, 1980, is a distinguished American actress celebrated for her compelling performances in film. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Dolores "Lolita" Haze in the critically acclaimed 1997 adaptation of Vladimir Nabokov's controversial novel, Lolita. At just 14, Swain was selected from over 2,500 candidates for the role, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Her rise in Hollywood continued with her role as Jamie Archer in the 1997 action thriller Face/Off, directed by John Woo, where she showcased her talent as a rebellious teenager. Swain's career further blossomed with her lead performance in the 1998 film Girl, which explored the challenges of adolescence.
In 2009, she participated in the documentary Starz Inside: Sex and the Cinema, which examined the portrayal of intimacy in film.
