**Lana Young: A Journey from Bermuda to the Stage**

Hailing from the picturesque island of Bermuda, Lana Young discovered her passion for acting at a young age. Inspired by her childhood experience watching the film *ORCA*, she dreamt of gracing the silver screen. However, the limited opportunities for actors in Bermuda led her to initially pursue a career in the corporate sector, where she navigated the challenges of being a young woman in a male-dominated investment firm.

Despite the corporate grind, Lana found refuge in the local theater scene, allowing her love for acting to flourish. At the age of 28, a pivotal moment in her life prompted her to relocate to Boston, where she secured roles in her first film and a one-woman show, as well as an adaptation of Chekhov's *The Lady With The Pet Dog*. These experiences ignited her desire to fully commit to acting.

At 33, she moved to London to pursue a Master's in Acting at the prestigious Arts Educational Schools. During her studies, she showcased her talent in various productions, including Bernard Shaw's *The Philanderer* and an adaptation of Ibsen's *Pillars of The Community*.

Following her time in London, Lana ventured to Los Angeles, where she faced the challenges of a competitive industry as a mixed-race actress. Despite limited casting opportunities, she landed her first TV role on *Zoey 101*, a national commercial with Cricket Wireless, and a supporting role in the indie film *Beginners* alongside Christopher Plummer and Ewan McGregor.

Seeking a fresh start, Lana moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, where she established the Hollywood Theatre Lab, an acting school aimed at teaching life skills through drama. The community embraced her, and the school flourished, allowing her to remain connected to filmmaking through various indie projects in the area.
