Ana Álvarez

Ana Álvarez is a prominent Spanish actress and model, born on November 19, 1969, in Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz. At the age of 13, she relocated to Madrid, where her passion for the performing arts began to flourish.

Initially embarking on a modeling career, Ana's journey took her to Japan at just 17 years old, where she worked for four months before moving to Paris and other major European cities, further cementing her status in the fashion industry.

Her transition into acting began in 1987 when she was cast by director Antonio Giménez-Rico for the film *Jarrapellejos*, seeking a long-haired Andalusian beauty. The following year, she showcased her comedic talent in the Spanish film *Aquí huele a muerto* alongside the comedy duo Martes y Trece. She also appeared in *Sólo o en compañía de otros*, directed by Santiago San Miguel.

In 1990, Ana featured in the Spanish television production *Don Juan en los infiernos*, a reinterpretation of Molière’s classic. She starred in *The Dead Mother* directed by Juanma Bajo Ulloa, portraying a young woman with intellectual disabilities facing tragedy.

In 1994, she collaborated with director Ricardo Franco on the comedy *¡Oh, Cielos!* and later appeared in the Hispanic-German film *Vivir al límite* in 1995. Ana continued to build her filmography with notable roles in *Brujas*—which featured Penélope Cruz—and *Cha, cha, chá* in 1998, followed by *A galope tendido* in 2000 and *Las amargas lágrimas de Petra von Kant* in 2001.
