Nancy O'Dell
Nancy O'Dell launched her broadcasting journey as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She further honed her skills as a morning news anchor and crime reporter at WCBD-TV in Charleston, where her investigative work on DUI enforcement led to a significant State Law Enforcement Division inquiry, prompting the state to implement tougher regulations. This groundbreaking reporting earned her the prestigious Best Report of the Year Award from the Associated Press, encompassing all media in South Carolina.
Following her impactful tenure in Charleston, O'Dell took on the role of co-anchor and investigative reporter at WTVJ-TV, NBC's Miami affiliate. In 1996, she transitioned to Access Hollywood, where she has since served as a lead anchor and correspondent. O'Dell's impressive portfolio includes coverage of high-profile events such as the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, and Golden Globe Awards, along with co-hosting various pre-show segments for these ceremonies. She also co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants in 2005.
Despite her demanding career, O'Dell remains committed to philanthropy, supporting organizations like the American Red Cross, March of Dimes, Best Buddies, and Childhelp USA. A distinguished graduate, she was valedictorian of her high school and earned a summa cum laude degree from Clemson University.
