Juliet Graham
Juliet Graham, born Bonnie Schiffer in Manhattan, is a captivating figure known for her striking presence and diverse career. Raised in a family with Jewish and Episcopalian roots, she spent her formative years in Fresh Meadows, Queens, before moving to Jamaica Estates. Graham's unique upbringing saw her embracing both Jewish education and Episcopalian traditions. A nonconformist in high school, she first tapped into her passion for acting through school plays and developed an affinity for Ayn Rand's literature during her teenage years.
After graduating from high school, she pursued a degree in English literature with a minor in education at Queens College. During her college years, Graham channeled her creativity into crafting jewelry and held various jobs, including working at a head shop and a costume store named Royal Rags. This period also marked her experimentation with drugs and a summer stint in London, which ended with some troubling encounters.
Returning to New York, Graham graduated in 1972 and initially struggled in the corporate world, facing multiple job dismissals. Her life took an unexpected turn in the 1970s swinging scene, where she met adult film star Ashley Moore and later, Jamie Gillis. Gillis encouraged her to star in her debut adult film, *Oriental Blue* (1975). Following her split from Moore, Graham lived with Gillis and expanded her filmography, while also pursuing modeling and theater. Recently, she has been focusing on writing her memoirs, offering a glimpse into her multifaceted life.
