Chas Chandler

Bryan James "Chas" Chandler was a prominent English musician, record producer, and talent manager, celebrated primarily for his role as the original bassist of the iconic rock band The Animals. Born on December 18, 1938, Chandler's musical journey began in the early 1960s when he joined The Animals, a group that gained international fame with hits like "House of the Rising Sun."

Beyond his success as a performer, Chandler made significant strides as a music producer and manager. He played a pivotal role in shaping the career of legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix, guiding him to international stardom after discovering him in a New York club.
