Ottfried Fischer
Ottfried Fischer was born and raised on his family's farm in Ornatsöd, nestled in the Bavarian Forest, near Untergriesbach. He completed his secondary education at the Maristengymnasium in Fürstenzell, intending to pursue a career in law as per his father's wishes. However, after only a few semesters in law school, he decided to shift his focus toward the performing arts.
Fischer's breakthrough came in 1983 when cabaret artist Werner Schneyder invited him to perform on his television program, *Meine Gäste und ich*. This set the stage for Fischer's solo debut as a cabaret artist in 1989 with his show *Schwer ist leicht was*. He continued to develop his craft and, in 1994, introduced his second solo performance titled *Was tun*, showcasing his comedic talents across various cities in Germany and Austria.
In addition to his cabaret work, Fischer established a successful acting career. His first television role was in Franz Xaver Bogner's series *Zeit genug*, which led to a significant breakthrough in 1985 with a leading role in *Irgendwie und Sowieso*. He played Felix in *Zur Freiheit*, marking the beginning of his ascent beyond Bavarian borders. Fischer's film credits are extensive, including notable appearances in *Zärtliche Chaoten* (1987), *Ein Prachtexemplar* (1989), *Café Europa* (1990), *Go Trabi Go* (1990), *Das schreckliche Mädchen* (1990), and *Superstau* (1991). His contributions to both television and film have made him a prominent figure in German entertainment.
