Zhao Zhiwei

1 title Acting Aug 08, 1994 Lanzhou, Gansu, China

Zhao Zhiwei, known in English as Eden and commonly referred to as Zhiwei, is a versatile Chinese performer recognized for his work as an actor, singer, and dancer. He gained prominence as a member of the Taiwanese boyband SpeXial from 2016 until early 2017.

Born in Lanzhou, Gansu, Zhiwei pursued his passion for the performing arts at the Shanghai Theater Academy, where he graduated after a decade-long career as a dancer. His dedication to dance led him to compete in numerous national and international contests, and he also took on roles as a choreographer. Just before completing his studies, the academy offered him a teaching position, but a significant knee injury prematurely ended his dancing career. This setback prompted him to shift his focus to acting, leading to his debut in the television series "KO One Re-member" in 2016.

On July 14, 2016, Zhiwei joined SpeXial, contributing to their fourth album, "Boyz on Fire," and appearing in the costume drama "Men with Sword." However, on March 20, 2017, he announced his departure from the band for personal reasons, officially leaving three days later, making him the second member to exit after Simon. Following his time with SpeXial, Zhiwei signed with Huace Media to pursue further acting opportunities, marking a new chapter in his career.
