Laith Nakli
Laith Nakli, born on December 1, 1969, is a British actor of Syrian heritage recognized for his compelling performances in film and television. He gained significant attention for his portrayal of Juba, the enigmatic sniper, in the 2017 film *The Wall*. His versatility is further showcased in the acclaimed 2017 miniseries *The Long Road Home*, as well as in the 2018 action-drama *12 Strong*, where he took on the role of Commander Ahmed Lal.
Before venturing into acting, Nakli had a brief career as a bodybuilder during the 1990s. However, his passion for the performing arts led him to transition to acting after a legal issue in 1998 resulted in his arrest related to conspiracy charges. Following a guilty plea in 2000, he stepped away from bodybuilding to fully embrace his acting career. In 2013, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officially closed his case, allowing him to focus on his craft.
