Mike Horner

Mike Horner, born on February 3, 1955, is a prominent figure in the American adult film industry, recognized for his extensive career as a pornographic actor. Initially credited under various names including Don Hart and Johnny Wilson, Horner entered the adult film scene in January 1978 with a series of short films known as loops. His first major feature was the 1979 production, *Tangerine*. Over his prolific career, he has appeared in more than 1,500 narrative films and over 500 explicit videos, collaborating with around 1,800 actresses.

Horner pursued higher education at San Francisco State University, UCLA, and ultimately graduated from Sonoma State University, where he developed his passion for acting, theatre, and dance. Although he started earning modestly from adult films, by 1983, the genre became his primary source of income, prompting him to relocate to Southern California in 1991 to focus on his career full-time.

Transitioning to directing in 1993, he faced challenges as the industry shifted towards gonzo-style productions, diverging from his artistic vision. Nevertheless, he directed several notable films, including *Tangled* and *Taoist Sexuality*. Horner has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including eight AVN Awards for Best Actor and multiple honors from European film organizations. He was inducted into both the AVN and XRCO Halls of Fame. In 2009, he made an appearance in the parody *Celebrity Pornhab with Dr. Screw*, showcasing his enduring presence in the industry. Horner's journey began in Portland, Oregon, where he was adopted, and he continues to contribute to adult film production and performance.
