Tim Rossovich
Tim Rossovich experienced a multifaceted life marked by notable achievements. His early years were dominated by football, where he distinguished himself as an All-American at St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California. He later excelled at the University of Southern California (USC) from 1965 to 1968, serving as co-captain of the 1967 National Championship Team. In recognition of his contributions to the sport, he was inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.
In the 1968 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles selected Tim, and he played four seasons with the team, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 1969. His career also included stints with the Philadelphia Bell in the World Football League, the San Diego Chargers, and the Houston Oilers, culminating in his retirement from professional football in 1976. While his career was impressive, the aggressive style of play may have led to health issues, including CTE, which could explain some of his later-life behaviors.
Transitioning from sports to entertainment, Tim carved out a successful new path as an actor and stuntman. His television credits include appearances on popular shows such as MacGyver, The A-Team, Baywatch, and Magnum, P.I., among others. He also featured in films like The Main Event (1979), The Long Riders (1980), Looker (1981), Night Shift (1982), and The Sting II (1983). In 1995, he returned to Grass Valley, California, where he lived until his passing.
