Her journey began in Brooklyn, New York, where she organized against slum landlords, which sparked her involvement in the labor movement and campaign strategies.
With over sixteen years of experience, Lauren has led or provided strategic advice to numerous campaigns, progressive organizations, and political leaders across states including New York, Ohio, Louisiana, and Georgia. She has been instrumental in grassroots fundraising efforts, raising significant sums while also engaging high-net-worth donors to support progressive initiatives.
Her accomplishments include spearheading a remarkable $15 million campaign in Ohio in 2010 and founding the New Georgia Project in 2014, serving as its inaugural executive director. Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Lauren holds a degree in Economics from American University, which has underpinned her commitment to shaping equitable economic policies.
