Vic Tablian

Vic Tablian is a British actor of Armenian descent, originally hailing from the Armenian SSR. He is best known for his memorable performances in the iconic 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark, where he showcased his versatility by portraying two distinct characters: the duplicitous Peruvian guide Barranca and the treacherous "Monkey Man," who collaborates with the Nazis.

Tablian's connection to the Indiana Jones franchise continued over a decade later when he reprised his role in a new context, appearing as Demetrios in the inaugural episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles in 1992. This television series, which explored the early adventures of the beloved character Indiana Jones, allowed Tablian to bring his talents back to the franchise that had catapulted him into the spotlight.
