Joaquín Garrido, a talented actor hailing from Mexico City, embarked on his professional acting journey at the young age of 17. He pursued a formal education in acting in Mexico and earned scholarships for further training at the prestigious Berliner Ensemble in Germany and the British Theatre Institute in London. Over the years, Garrido has become a familiar face in numerous Mexican soap operas and has recently made a mark in episodic television in the United States.

His film career spans over two decades, with around 20 feature films to his credit. He made his cinematic debut in "Chido One" (1985), directed by Alfonso Arau, and gained significant recognition with an Ariel Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Bittersüße Schokolade" (1992), also under Arau’s direction. Garrido's first project filmed entirely in the United States was "Demon Slayer" (2002), directed by James Cotten, which was produced by Roger Corman.

In addition to his work in film and television, Joaquín is also an accomplished poet and playwright. Currently residing in Los Angeles, California, he has showcased his talents across Canada, America, South America, and Europe, solidifying his reputation as a versatile artist in the performing arts.
