Lauren O'Neill
Lauren O'Neill is a versatile British actor known for her work across stage, screen, and radio. Born Lauren Frances Rogers in Liverpool, England, she is the eldest daughter of two dentists. She pursued her education at the University of Glasgow before returning to Liverpool to earn a degree in English, where her passion for acting first blossomed.
After completing her studies, O'Neill trained at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 2009. Her talent was quickly recognized when she received the Spotlight Showcase prize for Best Actress that same year.
O'Neill made her professional debut in the BBC drama *Being Human*, portraying the character Kirsty. She soon showcased her stage prowess at the National Theatre in Marianne Elliott’s revival of *Women Beware Women*, where she played Bianca. Her film career began with a leading role as Nina in *The Abominable Snowman* (originally titled *Deadly Descent*).
Her notable appearances include the role of Romaine Vole in the 2022 production of *Witness for the Prosecution* at London County Hall, and performances in major productions such as *King Lear* alongside Frank Langella and *Richard III* with Martin Freeman. O'Neill has also made her mark on television in series like *Silent Witness*, *Midsomer Murders*, and *Father Brown*. In 2017, she married Ollie Clueit, bassist of the band Meanwhile, Back in Communist Russia.
