Lisandro Boccacci

Lisandro Boccacci was born on November 16, 1986, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, into a family with rich historical roots. He is a descendant of Giovani Boccaccio and comes from a lineage that includes survivors of both World Wars. His mother, Liliana Irene Boccacci, was an accomplished ballet dancer and instructor, while his father, Tomas Alberto Boccacci, made his mark as a computer programmer for various airlines and metro rail companies.

Lisandro's familial legacy also includes his grandfather, Alberto Tomas Boccacci, Argentina's first Chemical Engineer, and his maternal grandfather, Nilson Jaurigui, a farmer who founded the town of Lobería, where the family maintains farmland today. A pivotal moment in Lisandro’s early life was being introduced to Charlie Chaplin's classic film "City Lights," which ignited his passion for filmmaking and acting.

His educational journey took him to schools in Valbone, France, Buenos Aires, and Miami, Florida, where he weathered the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew. Overcoming cancer at the young age of 13, Lisandro aspired to become a leading actor in Hollywood. He began studying theater at Union High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he initially worked behind the scenes due to his shyness.

He earned an Associate's degree from Tulsa Community College and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa, where he played a significant creative role in productions like “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Despite facing cancer two additional times during this period, Lisandro persisted, completing his first no-budget feature film at just 15 years old.

A celebrated filmmaker, he has had films premiere at Cinemark in Tulsa and is an alumnus of the Taliesin Nexus program, receiving mentorship from industry professionals. Now based in Tulsa, Lisandro is also a national award-winning pencil sketch artist and actively supports initiatives for Gold Star Families.
