Blanca Rosa Blanco

Blanca Rosa Blanco, born on February 24, 1972, in Havana, Cuba, is a distinguished actress recognized for her significant contributions to both theater and television. She graduated from the Faculty of Performing Arts at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in 1995, where her artistic journey began.

While studying at ISA, Blanca Rosa honed her craft by participating in various productions directed by notable figures such as Vicente Revuelta, José Antonio Rodríguez, and Roberto Blanco. Her early performances included roles in plays like "La historia de un antiguo encanto," "Los invitados del rey," and "Ubu Rey." She also showcased her talent in Shakespeare’s "Lady Macbeth" and was part of the theater group Buscón, appearing in "Cuentos de amor, humor y muerte" and "La historia de un escaparate."

Blanca Rosa made her television debut after establishing her reputation in theater, and she considers her time with the company "Irrumpe" as a pivotal moment in her career. She has served as a host for programs such as "23 y M" and "Ecos de mujer" on Cuban television, and has participated in prestigious events like the Lucas Awards and the Cubadisco Festival.

Often regarded as the "new face" of Cuban cinema, she has left her mark in various films, including "Páginas del diario de Mauricio," "El premio flaco," "Habanastation," and "Juan de los muertos." In addition to her acting achievements, Blanca Rosa also teaches and has ventured into directing, further solidifying her multifaceted career.
