Barbouth's career spanned from 1963 until 2010, during which he made a significant impact in both supporting and occasional leading roles. Noteworthy performances include his role in "La Fille d'en face" (1968) directed by Jean-Daniel Simon, where he shared the screen with Roman Polanski and Marika Green, as well as in "Salut les amis" (1967) by Jean-Pierre Bastid. He collaborated with acclaimed director Philippe Garrel on two occasions, featuring in "Liberté, la nuit" (1984) and "Le Cœurphantom" (1996). Additionally, he worked with Philippe Galland in both "L'Exercice du politique" (1978) and "Merci mon chien" (1997).
