Gökçen Gökçebağ
Gökçen Gökçebağ is a distinguished actor and director who graduated from the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts at Bilkent University in 2002. His journey in the performing arts began with an internship at the Adana State Theater in 2005. Seeking to broaden his horizons, Gökçebağ moved to New York in 2008, where he earned a Master’s degree in Acting from The New School for Drama. During his time in New York, he collaborated with various prestigious theaters, including La Mama.
Upon returning to Turkey, Gökçebağ gained recognition for his role in Sahan Gökbakar's popular film "Celal ile Ceren." His theatrical performances include notable productions such as "Derme Çatma Hamlet," "Kuslar Meclisi," and "Sahne Denilen Büyülü Kutu." In addition to theatre, he has appeared in television series like "Not Defteri," "Aşkın Kanunu," and "Şehrin Melekleri."
Currently, Gökçebağ is associated with Talimhane Tiyatrosu, performing in plays such as "Yoldan Çıkan Oyun" and "Baba ve Piç." He has also made his mark as a director, notably adapting the film "Cheap Thrills" into a theatrical production of the same name. Gökçen Gökçebağ continues to be a vibrant force in the Turkish performing arts scene.
