Gene Castle
Gene Castle's artistic journey began on the vibrant stages of Broadway, where he shone as both a lead dancer and featured performer in a number of iconic productions. His impressive credits include original shows such as GYPSY, FLOWER DRUM SONG, HIGH SPIRITS, HENRY SWEET HENRY, GEORGE M!, and OH KAY! Beyond performing, Gene has made significant contributions as a writer, director, and choreographer, creating nine productions for Dr. Pepper and an impressive seventeen for Princess Cruises. His directorial work on ON THE TOWN earned him accolades, including awards for Best Direction, Best Choreography, and Best Musical from the San Jose Civic Light Opera.
In addition to his accomplishments on Broadway and cruise lines, Gene has directed and choreographed numerous Off-Broadway productions, showcasing his versatility. His notable Off-Broadway works include THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF SONG, TIN PAN ALLEY, and BABALU-CY, along with choreography for LOVE DIVIDED BY, DIETRICH & CHEVALIER, and DANNY & SILVIA.
Currently, Gene serves as the general manager and booker at the Triad Theatre located on 72nd Street, where he continues to inspire and contribute to the theatrical community. His extensive experience and dedication to the performing arts have established him as a prominent figure in the industry.
