Robert David Hall
Robert David Hall, born on November 9, 1947, in East Orange, New Jersey, is an accomplished American actor widely recognized for his portrayal of Dr. Albert Robbins M.D. on the hit television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Hall's journey began in California, where he graduated from UCLA in 1971 with a degree in English Literature. Prior to his acting career, he was an accomplished musician, showcasing his talents as a guitarist, pianist, and mandolin player, along with a stint as a well-known radio DJ in Los Angeles.
In a tragic turn of events in 1978, Hall was involved in a severe accident that resulted in the amputation of both legs and extensive burns over 65% of his body. Despite these challenges, he adapted to life with prosthetic limbs, and his experiences have influenced the characters he portrays, including his role in CSI. Hall is a passionate advocate for the rights and representation of disabled individuals in the entertainment industry.
Beyond CSI, Hall's film credits include notable works such as Starship Troopers and The Negotiator, in addition to guest appearances on acclaimed TV shows like The West Wing and L.A. Law. He also narrates the CourtTV documentary series North Mission Road. Currently, he is engaged in a new project, the short thriller "The Roymann Closure," set in the Netherlands.
On the personal front, Hall has been married three times, and he shares a son, Andrew, with his second wife, Connie Cole. He has been happily married to Judy Sterns since 1999.
