Nguyen Stanton, a Vietnamese-American actress and model based in Austin, Texas, was born Xuan-Nguyen Huynh in Vietnam and became a refugee during the Vietnam War, arriving in Topeka, Kansas, in 1975. After completing her education at DeBakey High School for Health Professions in 1987, she pursued higher education at The University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a B.A. in English Literature and Composition along with a certification in Secondary School Education by 1991.
In 2000, Stanton relocated to San Francisco, where she ventured into nonprofit management and media consulting. However, her passion for the performing arts led her back to Austin in 2006, where she embarked on her acting journey. She made her stage debut in 2008 with The Baron's Men, a troupe committed to authentic Shakespearean and Elizabethan performances. Her theatrical talents flourished further at The Way Off Broadway Community Players in Leander, Texas, and various other local theaters.
Stanton transitioned to film in 2009, showcasing her versatility through a wide range of roles, from a ninja to a detective, across numerous genres including martial arts, science fiction, thriller, drama, and comedy. In addition to her acting career, she also participates in runway modeling, proudly representing local designers and contributing to the vibrant arts scene in Austin.
