Sidney Edwards is a talented actress, singer, dancer, and director who operates out of Los Angeles, California. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from William Peace University and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Louisville. In 2018, her remarkable portrayal in "Miss Ida B. Wells" earned her the Distinguished Actor award at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Sidney has also showcased her skills at the National Black Theatre Festival with Kirsten Greenidge's "Baltimore," and she has toured extensively with the Missoula Children's Theater.

Some of her standout performances include Amneris in "Aida" at the Karamu House Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio, Sally Bowles in "Cabaret" at the Legget Theatre in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Squeak in "The Color Purple" with the Justice Theatre Project, also in Raleigh. Beyond her performing career, Sidney is passionate about education. She has worked as a teaching artist at The Cleveland Play House and Karamu House Theatre. Additionally, she has held faculty positions in theater at Baldwin Wallace University and the University of Louisville, where she directed the African American Theater Program, contributing significantly to the arts community.
