**Matthew Fenton: Biography**

At just 21 years old, Matthew Fenton has already made significant strides in the film and television sector. He earned a First-Class Degree in Film & TV Production in July 2020, and since then, has demonstrated a strong commitment to building a career in this dynamic industry. His recent work includes completing post-production on his university film, which he crafted independently amid the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. In this project, Matthew excelled in multiple roles, including Sound Recordist, Sound Editor, and Sound Designer, showcasing his passion for sound design. He particularly enjoyed creating Foley effects in his university's sound studio, utilizing synthesizers and sound effect plugins in Ableton Live to produce unsettling atmospheric sounds.

Matthew's fascination with sound began at the age of 13 through music production, where he developed skills in producing, mixing, and mastering. He is also proficient with instruments like the electric guitar, bass, and keyboard, often integrating these into his digital audio workstation.

His early introduction to the entertainment industry came at age six when he landed his first professional acting role, including a memorable part as Simon Pegg's son in the 2007 film *Run Fat Boy Run*. He further enriched his experience with roles in CBBC’s *Horrible Histories* and a BBC sitcom, where he gained valuable insights into live studio environments.

Through internships at Lion Television and on *Britain’s Got Talent*, Matthew honed his production skills and familiarized himself with on-set etiquette. His background in acting and creative media has equipped him with strong communication abilities, positioning him as a promising addition to any production team. As he seeks a trainee role, Matthew is eager to further develop his skills and lay a solid foundation for a successful career in the industry.
