Charles Randolph "Charlie" Korsmo, born on July 20, 1978, is an American former child actor who transitioned into a career as a lawyer and political activist. Hailing from Fargo, North Dakota, he is the son of Deborah Ruf, an educational psychologist, and John Korsmo, a hospital administrator and former chairman of the Federal Housing Finance Board. Korsmo grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he completed his education at Breck School. He has two siblings: an older brother, Ted, and a younger brother, Joe.

Charlie Korsmo gained fame during the 1990s for his notable roles in several films. He played The Kid/Dick Tracy, Jr. in the movie "Dick Tracy" and portrayed Siggie, the son of Richard Dreyfuss's character, in "What About Bob?" His most recognized role came as Jack Banning, the son of Peter Pan, in the iconic 1991 film "Hook." He also appeared in the 1998 teen comedy "Can't Hardly Wait."

After stepping away from acting, Korsmo pursued higher education, ultimately earning a law degree and engaging in political activism. Today, he reflects on his early career while dedicating himself to his work in law and public service.
