Marimar Vega
**Marimar Vega** is a talented Mexican actress, born into a family deeply rooted in the performing arts. She is the daughter of renowned actor Gonzalo Vega and actress Leonora Sisto, and the sister of actress Zuria Vega. Marimar spent two decades mastering flamenco dance before pursuing acting at CEFAC, the renowned acting school affiliated with TV Azteca.
At just 17, she made her theatrical debut alongside her father in the classic play *Don Juan Tenorio*, portraying the character Doña Inés. Her theatrical repertoire includes a notable performance in the play *Perras*. Marimar transitioned to film with roles in *Amor, dolor y viceversa* and garnered international acclaim for her lead role in *Daniel and Ana*, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, sharing the screen with actors Darío Yazbek and José María Torre.
Vega's television career began in 2003 with the soap opera *Enamórate*, where she portrayed the complex character Fedra. She continued to captivate audiences with her performances in *Mientras haya vida* in 2007 as Gina Montero, and later took on significant roles in *Noche Eternal*, *Eternamente tuya*, and *Amor cautivo*. Her versatility was further showcased in the 2013 series *Las trampas del deseo* and the 2014 Chilean series *Sitiados*.
In addition to her television work, Marimar also starred in the play *Al borde del río* alongside Erick Elias and Kuno Becker. Notably, she has a familial connection to her on-screen romance in *Emperatriz*, as her co-star Alberto Guerra is married to her sister, Zuria Vega.
