Carol Kane
Carolyn Laurie Kane, born on June 18, 1952, is a celebrated American actress and comedian whose career spans decades. She gained prominence in the 1970s with standout performances in films such as *Hester Street*, which earned her an Academy Award nomination, and Woody Allen's *Annie Hall*.
In the early 1980s, Kane became a beloved television figure through her role as Simka Gravas on the hit series *Taxi*, where she portrayed the wife of the quirky Latka, played by Andy Kaufman. Her exceptional talent garnered her two Emmy Awards, solidifying her status in the entertainment industry.
