George Mihăiță

George Mihăiță, born on September 23, 1948, in Moreni, Romania, is a celebrated actor, director, and philanthropist. With a striking voice that has become his hallmark, he has graced over 70 films, earning a reputation as a prominent figure in Romanian cinema.

Mihăiță pursued his education at the Institute of Theatrical Art and Cinematography in Bucharest, now known as The National University of Theatrical Art and Cinematography I.L. Caragiale Bucharest, where he graduated with distinction. Over his more than four-decade-long career, he has made significant contributions to both film and theater, becoming a key figure in the realm of youth education in Romania.

In addition to his acting career, Mihăiță has held influential editorial roles, notably as the director of Salut magazine and Salut Generation Pro, which have left a lasting impact on Romanian journalism. He was also appointed as the honorary director of Super Magazine. Passionate about youth engagement, he founded Teenager's Day and serves as the President of the UNESCO Club for teenagers. For the past six years, he has been at the helm of The Comedy Theater in Bucharest and established FESTCO, the Festival of Romanian Comedy, further showcasing his commitment to the arts and the next generation of talent.
