Tracey Bonner

Tracey Bonner is a talented American actress recognized for her compelling roles in popular series such as *Raising Dion*, *Sweet Magnolias*, and *Black Lightning*. Born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Tracey was raised in a family of educators, which instilled in her a strong appreciation for both academic pursuits and athletics. Her passion for acting ignited during her high school years when she discovered Shakespeare and participated in a theater tour, leading her to consider a career in the performing arts.

Alongside her burgeoning acting career, Tracey excelled in sports. A standout athlete, she played varsity basketball and softball, earning a full athletic scholarship to Tennessee State University. There, she not only shone as a scholar-athlete, being named an athletic and academic All-American in softball, but also majored in Speech Communication and Theatre with a minor in English. Following her undergraduate studies, Tracey further honed her craft by obtaining an MFA in Acting from the Theatre School at DePaul University.

Before fully committing to her acting career, she spent 15 years in education, sharing her knowledge and passion for the arts. Tracey’s diverse experiences enrich her performances, making her a standout presence in the entertainment industry today.
