Alan Lake (November 24, 1940 – October 10, 1984) was a notable English actor, recognized primarily for his marriage to the glamorous actress Diana Dors. Hailing from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire and of Gypsy heritage, Lake pursued his passion for acting by attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and began his professional career in 1964.

Lake gained notoriety not just for his acting but also for his tumultuous personal life. In July 1970, he found himself embroiled in a pub altercation, which led to an eighteen-month prison sentence. His friend, the musician Leapy Lee, received a three-year sentence for a more serious charge in the same incident. However, Lake's time behind bars was cut short when he was released after serving one year.

Throughout his career, he frequently appeared alongside Dors, with their partnership becoming a significant aspect of his public persona. Following Dors's tragic passing in 1984, Lake struggled with profound grief and depression. Ultimately, this led to his untimely death by suicide later that year. Alan Lake's life was marked by both personal highs and lows, and his legacy remains intertwined with that of his famous wife.
