Frederic Forrest
Frederic Fenimore Forrest Jr. (December 23, 1936 – June 23, 2023) was a prominent American actor recognized for his contributions to the New Hollywood era. He is best remembered for his work with acclaimed director Francis Ford Coppola, featuring in significant roles in films such as The Conversation (1974), Apocalypse Now (1979), One from the Heart (1982), and Tucker: The Man and His Dream (1988). His performance as Huston Dyer in the musical drama The Rose (1979) earned him nominations for both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor.
Forrest gained early acclaim with his role in When the Legends Die (1972), which led to a Golden Globe nomination for Most Promising Newcomer.
