Richard Stephen "Richie" Sambora, born on July 11, 1959, is a celebrated American guitarist, producer, musician, and singer/songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist for the iconic rock band Bon Jovi. Together with frontman Jon Bon Jovi, he formed the backbone of the band's songwriting, contributing to their numerous hits and enduring success.

Sambora's solo career showcases his versatility, with three albums to his name: "Stranger in This Town" (1991), "Undiscovered Soul" (1998), and "Aftermath of the Lowdown" (2012), highlighting his skills beyond the band. In 2018, he received a significant honor when he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Bon Jovi, during which he reunited with his former bandmates for a memorable performance.

In the same year, Sambora collaborated with his girlfriend, Orianthi, to form the musical duo RSO. Their creative partnership resulted in two EPs and the release of their debut album, "Radio Free America," in May.

Recognized for his exceptional talent, Sambora was named by Time magazine as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. His personal life includes a marriage to actress Heather Locklear from 1994 to 2007, with whom he shares a daughter, Ava, born in 1997, and a relationship with Orianthi from 2014 to 2018.
