Jon Freda

Jon Freda, a native of Brooklyn, New York, grew up in a vibrant Italian-American household. His journey began with service as a naval officer, followed by academic pursuits in doctoral programs across New York and Canada. As an actor, Jon has showcased his versatility through a wide array of roles, including his memorable performances in the comedic web series, *50 To Death*, and his acclaimed dramatic role as Rocco in *The Family*. His talent was recognized at the Cannes Film Festival, where he earned the Outstanding Actor Award for his work in *Sisyphus' Supper*. Additionally, he garnered praise for his Off-Broadway solo show, *Imagine DatI*, where he portrayed the iconic Jimmy Durante, a production developed in collaboration with the Durante Estate.

Beyond acting, Jon is a skilled screenwriter and playwright, having received three accolades for his feature screenplay, *Say Nothing*, from the Guild of Italian American Actors. His musical comedy, *Alien Adventure The Adventure*, also achieved notable success, winning four awards at the Midtown International Theater Festival in New York. In his personal life, Jon enjoys swimming, taking leisurely strolls with his dog in the park, and creating digital art, a hobby he appreciates for its mess-free nature. He aspires to improve his Italian language skills before his next trip to Rome.
