Nicky Whelan

Nicky Whelan, born on May 10, 1981, is a talented Australian actress and model recognized for her diverse roles across television and film. She gained significant fame in Australia for her portrayal of Pepper Steiger in the long-running soap opera *Neighbours*, appearing in 100 episodes from 2006 to 2007.

Whelan made her transition to Hollywood with two notable projects. First, she starred in the ensemble comedy *Hollywood & Wine*, where she played an aspiring actress arriving in Tinseltown. Soon after, she secured a recurring role as Maya, a seductive medical student, in the ninth season of *Scrubs*, although the series was abruptly canceled. She subsequently collaborated with the Farrelly brothers in the comedy *Good to Shoot*, featuring a cast led by Jason Sudeikis and Owen Wilson, along with various appearances in short films and B-movies.

In 2013, Whelan's career gained momentum as she took on a six-episode role in the detective series *Franklin and Bash* and played a key part in the web series *Chosen*, alongside Milo Ventimiglia and Chad Michael Murray. The following year, she appeared in two aviation-themed films: the SyFy channel's *Flight 7500: One Way Back* and the action thriller *Le Chaos*, featuring Nicolas Cage, where she played a flight attendant.

Whelan also starred in the short-lived series *Matador*, alongside Gabriel Luna, and participated in the pilot of another series that did not succeed. In 2015, she featured in the low-budget romance *Borrowed Moments* and appeared in the comedy *Witness for Rent*. Her filmography also includes a role in Terrence Malick's experimental film *Knight of Cups* and multiple episodes of the series *Satisfaction*. More recently, she worked on the thriller *Usurpation*, sharing the screen with Nicolas Cage and Gina Gershon.
