Setsuko Karasuma
Setsuko Karasuma (烏丸 せつこ), born on February 3, 1955, in Ōtsu, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, is a distinguished actress and model. Although she began her academic journey at Chukyo University, she left before completing her degree to pursue a career in entertainment. Currently represented by the From First Production talent agency, Karasuma has made significant strides in her profession since her early days.
In 1980, Karasuma gained prominence as a Clarion Girl, a role that marked her entry into the public eye. This early exposure led her to establish a foothold in the gravure idol scene, where she captivated audiences with her charm and poise. Her acting career took off later that same year when she starred in the film adaptation of Hiroyuki Itsuki's novel, "Four Seasons・Natsuko," where she played the lead role.
