Antonio Pappano
Sir Antonio Pappano, born on December 30, 1959, is a renowned conductor and pianist with both English and Italian heritage. His illustrious career began to take shape in 1992 when he was appointed music director at La Monnaie, the Belgian Royal Opera House, a role he fulfilled until 2002. That same year marked a significant milestone in his career as he became the music director of the prestigious Royal Opera House (ROH) in Covent Garden, where he collaborated closely with Kasper Holten, the Director of Opera, to oversee productions.
