Carlos Villarías

Carlos Villarías (July 7, 1892 – April 27, 1976) was a distinguished Spanish actor, hailing from Córdoba, Spain, and later passing away in California, USA. He is best remembered for his iconic portrayal of Count Dracula in the Spanish-language adaptation of Dracula (1931). This version was filmed concurrently with the English-language classic featuring Bela Lugosi, utilizing the same sets, but it was produced at night, allowing Villarías to deliver a unique interpretation of the legendary character alongside co-stars Barry Norton and Lupita Tovar.

Villarías' career spanned several decades, during which he made significant contributions to both film and theater.
