Lucas Jade Zumann
Lucas Jade Zumann grew up in a Jewish household, where he attended Hebrew school and later pursued his education at Waters Elementary School. In fifth grade, he transitioned to the Chicago Waldorf School, completing his studies there until eighth grade, and returned to finish his senior year.
His journey into acting began when talent scout Paskal Rudnicke discovered him during a Disney casting call in Chicago. Zumann made his stage debut in the ensemble of the musical "Oliver!" at Music Theater Works in his hometown. He soon landed a small part in the acclaimed Netflix series Sense8, where he played a punk character.
Zumann's breakout role came when he portrayed Milo in the horror sequel Sinister 2. His performance as Jamie Fields in the critically acclaimed film 20th Century Women further solidified his reputation, sharing the screen with stars like Elle Fanning, Greta Gerwig, and Annette Bening. In 2016, he also made an appearance in an episode of the hit series Chicago Fire.
His rise to international fame was marked by his portrayal of Gilbert Blythe in the beloved Canadian series Anne with an E, which debuted in 2017 on CBC and Netflix. The following year, he starred as Nathan Daldry/A in the romantic teen film Every Day and took on roles in Dr. Bird's Advice for Sad Poets and To The Stars, showcasing his versatility as a young actor.
