Tony Robbins, born Anthony Jay Mahavoric on February 29, 1960, is a prominent European-American author, motivational speaker, coach, and philanthropist of Croatian-American descent. Standing tall at 6'8", Robbins is widely recognized for his dynamic infomercials, impactful seminars, and influential self-help literature, including his acclaimed books, *Unlimited Power* and *Awaken the Giant Within*. He has also made cameo appearances in popular films, such as portraying himself in *Shallow Hal* and an alien in *Men in Black*.

Robbins' early life was marked by challenges, including his parents' divorce when he was just seven. His mother remarried multiple times, with one of her husbands, Jim Robbins, adopting him at age twelve. A significant growth spurt during his teenage years, attributed to a pituitary tumor, saw him gain ten inches in one year. Leaving home at 17, Robbins initially worked as a janitor and was inspired to transform his life after attending a seminar by motivational speaker Jim Rohn.

His career took off when he began promoting Rohn's seminars and later developed his own unique style, incorporating firewalking into his presentations. Over the years, Robbins has coached high-profile figures like Bill Clinton, Hugh Jackman, and Pitbull, as well as advising top business leaders such as Peter Guber and Marc Benioff.

Robbins has also ventured into television, hosting *Breakthrough with Tony Robbins* on NBC in 2010, and later cohosting *Oprah's Lifeclass* on the OWN Network. His influence further expanded with the 2016 documentary *Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru*, which showcased his transformative event, "Date with Destiny."
