Richard Sandling is a multifaceted British comedian, film critic, presenter, writer, director, actor, and musician hailing from South Benfleet. He gained recognition in the comedy scene after winning the prestigious So You Think You're Funny competition in 2007. Sandling has a passion for comedy that has led him to perform numerous times at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, both solo and alongside fellow comedian Stuart Goldsmith. He is also known for his comedic persona, Spak Whitman, which has allowed him to entertain audiences across the UK, as well as in the United States and Canada.

In London, Sandling organizes Perfect Movie, a unique stand-up and sketch comedy night focused on film, featuring recreations by various comedians. He also hosts the Squat Betty comedy night in Southend, showcasing emerging talents.

His contributions to film criticism include a stint as the reviewer for Myspace.com/comedy, and he made an appearance in the documentary The People vs. George Lucas.
