Valérie Bonneton

Valérie Bonneton, born on April 5, 1970, in Somain, a town in the Nord department of France, is a distinguished actress known for her work in theater, film, and television. Raised in nearby Aniche, Valérie's passion for acting blossomed during her Year 7 French class. Initially, she aspired to become a veterinarian and pursued a science track for her baccalauréat. However, her transformative experience playing Ismène in Anouilh’s "Antigone" ignited her true calling in the performing arts.

Upon completing her baccalauréat, Valérie relocated to Paris, where she enrolled at the prestigious Cours Florent while juggling various part-time jobs, including working as a fruit seller, babysitter, and sculptor’s model. In 1991, she gained admission to the National Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she honed her craft until the age of 26.

Valérie's career began with notable supporting roles in various films, but she rose to prominence with the hit television series "Fais pas ci, fais pas ça," which premiered in 2007. Her performance in Guillaume Canet’s "Little White Lies" in 2010 earned her a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She continued to showcase her talent in films such as "Eyjafjallajökull" alongside Dany Boon in 2013 and "Garde alternée" in 2017, featuring Didier Bourdon and Isabelle Carré.
