Denise Quiñones

Denise Marie Quiñones August, born on September 9, 1980, is a distinguished Puerto Rican actress, model, and beauty queen who gained international recognition after being crowned Miss Universe in 2001. Before her triumph at the Miss Universe pageant, she represented Lares in the Miss Puerto Rico Universe 2001 competition, showcasing her charisma and talent.

After her reign as Miss Universe, Quiñones pursued her passion for acting and enrolled in a two-year conservatory program at the School for Film and Television, where she refined her skills. She has made a notable mark in the theater world, particularly with her performance in the Spanish adaptation of Nilo Cruz's acclaimed play, "Ana en el trópico" (Anna in the Tropics). Her outstanding portrayal earned her significant accolades, including an HOLA Award from the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors and an ACE Award.
