Donald G. Jackson (April 24, 1943 - October 20, 2003) was an influential American producer and screenwriter celebrated for his unique contributions to the independent film scene. Among his notable works are cult classics such as The Roller Blade Seven (1991) and its sequel, Return of the Roller Blade Seven (1993), as well as Baby Ghost (1995) and Rollergator (1996), both featuring Joe Estevez in prominent roles.

Before embarking on his film career, Jackson worked in a factory alongside his friend and co-director Jerry Younkins. Their lives took an unexpected turn following a workplace accident that resulted in Younkins losing several fingers. The subsequent insurance payout of $8,000 became the spark for their filmmaking ambitions, as they chose to invest it into their debut feature, The Demon Lover (1976).

Throughout his career, Jackson became known for his distinct style that blended action, humor, and a touch of the bizarre, capturing the attention of audiences who appreciated offbeat cinema. His films, though often categorized as low-budget productions, developed a loyal following, showcasing his ability to create engaging narratives with limited resources. Jackson's legacy endures in the realm of cult films, and he remains a notable figure in the world of independent filmmaking until his passing in Los Angeles, California, on October 20, 2003.
